1.     비교급

A.    비교할 땐, 성질에 -er을 붙여요.

키가 큰 -tall, 더 키가 큰 -taller

무거운 -heavy, 더 무거운 – heavier

 

B.     2음절 이상의 단어엔 more를 붙임 (아,에,이,오,우)

비싼 – expensive (3음절)

더 비싸 – more expensive.

유명한 – famous

더 유명한 – more famous

 

C.     영작 예제

톰이 에이미 보다 더 키가 커.

(비교하는 대상은 나중에 생각할 것!!)

Tom is taller than Amy.

 

톰이 에이미 보다 더 유명해.

Tom is more famous than Amy.

 

2.     특이하게 바뀌는 비교급

Good, well à better

Bad à worse

Far à father

 

내 점수가 니 점수보다 더 좋아.

My score is better than your score. (yours)

 

3.     비교급 앞에서 강조.

A.    약간 더 : a little, a bit

훨씬 더 : much, a lot, even

 

내 점수가 니 점수보다 약간 더 좋아.

My score is a little better than yours score.

 

내 점수가 니 점수보다 훨씬 더 좋아.

My score is a lot better than yours score.

 

B.     몇 배 더 ~ : times를 앞에 놓기

내 점수가 니 점수보다 2배 더 좋아.

My score is 2 times better than your score.

 

4.     비교급 영작

엄마는 아빠보다 더 행복해.

My mom is happier than my dad.

 

오늘이 어제보다 약간 더 추워.

Today is a little colder than yesterday.

 

우리 아빠가 나보다 훨씬 힘이 세.

My dad is much stronger than me.

 

우리 개가 니네 개 보다 2배더 커.

My dog is 2times bigger than your dog.
